Film production is a challenging prospect under any circumstances. But how is production impacted when the threat of violence is ever present? This panel will discuss how filmmakers navigate the politics, the logistics, and the challenges of filming in politically unsafe environments. From cultural restrictions, warzones, protests, or working with politically or culturally sensitive material, panellists will share their experiences from the frontline.
